Epic LOST Theory

WARNING: If you haven’t seen all of LOST through the Season 5 finale, stop reading and go rent some DVD’s.

So, here is the overarching theory to end all theories.

At the beginning of the Season 5 finale, we see Jacob talking with a man in a black shirt who says he wants to kill Jacob. I will refer to this man simply as Black. Black represents the evil spirit of the island, while Jacob is the good spirit.

Wanted is not too bad

Meg and I went to see the movie Wanted on Thursday. It was the typical summer super blockbuster action flick. The storyline is a bit predictable, but there is a twist that I didn’t see coming. I am not sure how well I like the main actor (James McAvoy) in anything outside of a Scottish accent. The special effects were pretty cool, but then again, I don’t think cool special effects are that hard to do anymore. There was not much else to the movie. I do not think the movie warrants any more comments other than what I have previously stated above.

Disney owes Mike Judge some money…

Well, we went to see Wall-E last night, and overall it was a very entertaining movie. There was some cool Apple shout outs which was nice to see, and it was surprisingly romantic. Also, there is a surprise with the humans that I thought was outstanding and hilarious. The problem was with about 20% or so that the film is based on. It is set in the future where there is a ton of garbage everywhere. And the human race starts to head the other way on the IQ scale. This portion of the plot is the exact same as in Idiocracy, which is a fantastic movie. It is now on Disney to send some money towards Mike Judge since they kinda copied his idea and will make millions off of it. Sadly, Idiocracy didn’t make very much money, and this check from Disney could help out a good deal.

Life-Changing Books (and Movies)

I wanted to just do books, but in my experience I watch a lot of movies, and since some of them are based on books, I am including them as well.

Loving Entourage

What a great show. Nothing helps the summer season of no network TV like the boys from Brooklyn. I guess most of the good stuff (24, Lost) doesn’t come around til 2008 anyway. Who’s idea was it to make a hit show, then start cutting back. Either way, Scrubs and The Office will make for a very nice fall.

More like Rocket-never-takes-off-again

Rocketboom is still not up. It says 2.0 coming soon. I’m calling B.S. They built some suspense yesterday, but it’s all over today. No show = no viewers. I missed Amanda on MSNBC, but I bet it won’t be too hard to find on YouTube. Other than The Show, Tikibar, and Ask a Ninja, I’m running low on vlogs. I guess I will have to make my own. We will see soon enough.

Trent vs. Trent

So, the series pilot was filmed today. It took about 20 minutes to storyboard, another 30 to shoot film, and about two hours of editing to finally produce a film. Well, a 1 minute film. But it looks pretty good considering our budget of zero dollars. We shot on location at home, with my brother’s camera, and it had my mom as a guest star. Hopefully this will turn into a weekend project every weekend. That would be fun. So, here’s to episode 2!
