I saw a comedian recently who was talking about the future. He was upset, because the future we were promised as kids (flying cars, jetsons, etc.) has not really happened. So, how are we to know when we reach the future if tech isn't that indicator he asked. His answer was a Black President, because according to TV, that will happen in the future.

In the movie Air Force One, there is a female VP, played by Glenn Close. She did not seem out of place, and the future did not seem too far away.
So again, I am glad that tonight represents the Future. The future we were promised as kids, and in some ways the future that we are creating right now. I did my part today in making the future, I know many people in my generation did too. I am eager to see what other future things my generation (and the ones that follow closely) will create...
