The face of defeat...

In honor of the Florida-Alabama game today, I think it is worth taking a look back at Tim Tebow's post game interview after the 1-point loss to Ole Miss. Florida was off their game, committing turnovers, not producing on offense, and lost the game on a 4th-and-1 that Tebow and the team (almost) always convert on.

While I am sure Tim did not mean to drum up the kind of emotions, he does a great job of talking about the pain of defeat, and really shows that he has the heart of a champion. It would be hard to blame Tebow for the loss, but I am sure that he feels that way. But he takes his loss like a man. He apologizes to the team, the coaches, and the fans. Few NFL players can lay down their pride like this. He wants the pain to sink in. He wants to feel the loss, and use it as a motivator for the rest of the season. He makes a promise to do better, push harder, and win more. This is how more people should act. Take credit for a loss, build on the pain, learn your lesson, and go kick ass from then on.

And since that game, Florida has put on quite a show. They have mowed down everyone in their path, scoring on average more that 50 points a game while only giving up an average less than two touchdowns. Great work Tim. Best of luck today against Alabama. They are tough, but I trust the man in the video below, and I know that he will not lose again.
