Nice Saturday

I am looking forward to a nice Saturday afternoon. First there is movies from Netflix that are on my Xbox 360. That will take a couple of hours. Then I am meeting family for dinner around 5. Then it is football time with Utah/BYU and the big game of Oklahoma/Texas Tech.
This is a very big game for the Big XII as it has huge BCS implications. If Oklahoma wins (as I am predicting) then it creates a bit of a storm for the top 3 in the Big XII south. If everyone wins out after this Saturday, then the BCS ranks of Oklahoma, Tech, and Texas will determine who plays Missouri and goes on to play in the National championship game. While human pollers will determine a big part in this, so will the computers. Their methods can involve scoring margin, so if Oklahoma pulls it off, Texas will be looking to blow out the Aggies on Thanksgiving day.
Another possible perfect storm would be if Tech wins, but then loses to Missouri. While this would guarantee that Missouri gets a spot in a BCS game, it doesn't mean it would be the championship game. I think #1 will be Florida after the beat Alabama, and then #2 will be either Texas or Oklahoma. And if Oklahoma loses to Tech, then it would be Texas.
So, Texas should be rooting for a Tech win today, and that they lose the Big XII game. Oklahoma should hopefully be able to control their own destiny, but I think that the BCS may play too much of a role in that. And Tech can control their own destiny, by winning out.
So, as you can see, today's game is a big one. And I am excited for it.
(On a side note, my Ultimate Buds came in yesterday, and thus far they are exceeding expectations. More to come later.)
