A new look for my face

It's not so often that you get to change the way your face looks. You can get a new haircut, get some expensive plastic surgery, grow some facial hair, or put on some makeup. Or you can wear glasses.

I now fall into that latter category. After a few years of hemming and hawing about my vision, I finally pulled the trigger and bought a pair of glasses. Picking glasses was much trickier than I thought, mostly due to the special deals that the store had. I had picked out a modest pair, but was then told I could get any designer (i.e. expensive) pair of frames for the same low price. I'm not big on wearing brands, and unfortunately most of the fancy glasses were tagged all over. I finally settled on a pair of Armani glasses which seem to fit the balance of hipster and computer nerd that I was looking for.

I still feel as though I am wearing clear sunglasses all day long, but the difference in my vision is pretty remarkable. While I can see fine without them, I can see much better with them. I like to think of them more as vision enhancers than something I rely on.

The coolest part is that I feel like superman when I take them off, like they are part of some elaborate disguise, and when I remove them I am a different person. So far the different person just likes to sleep, seeing as how that's the only reason I have had to take them off.
